We’re happy to welcome Elizabeth (Betsy) Moran to our board of directors. “We’re thankful to Betsy for sharing her expertise in health law and health care leadership. Her breadth of knowledge will be especially appreciated as we grow our programs and expand our reach to help more children around the world,” says Children’s HeartLink President Jackie Boucher.

Betsy served as CEO of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Northern Plains Alliance for a few years until she retired in March 2019. She was also president and chief operating officer for ClearStone Solutions, which provides consulting services to organizations participating in government-funded Medicare and Medicaid programs. Prior to those appointments, she has served in several leadership roles throughout her career, managing legal support for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, UnitedHealth Group and UnitedHealthcare.

Children’s HeartLink trains medical teams in underserved parts of the world to diagnose and treat children with heart disease. Founded in 1969, we currently support 17 partner hospitals in Brazil, China, India, Malaysia and Vietnam.
