EXCELLENCE IN VIETNAM
Nhi Dong 1 set a new standard in pediatric cardiac care in Vietnam by being the first-ever hospital in the country to achieve Children’s HeartLink Center of Excellence status.
WORLD CONGRESS & CALL TO ACTION
1,500 endorsements were secured for the Call to Action to Address the Global Burden of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease. There’s still time to sign the Call to Action which was presented at the 8th World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Washington, D.C., an event which brought together many of our global partners.
FIRST TRAINING WITH NEW PARTNER IN BRAZIL
A successful first visit between Texas Children’s Hospital and Real Hospital Português in Recife laid the foundation for extending our reach in Brazil.
OUR CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE IN ACTION
Children’s HeartLink Center of Excellence Institut Jantung Negara in Malaysia hosted training for nurses from India. Centers of Excellence around the world held similar trainings; a testament to our train-the-trainer model’s success.
EXPANDING IMPACT IN INDIA
We strengthened our connections in India with two new partnerships and developed a plan to amplify our impact in pediatric cardiac care for years to come.
POST-PANDEMIC TRAINING RESUMES
First post-pandemic training visits happened in China, Brazil and India, reinforcing our commitment to improving global heart care for children.
MARKING 1 YEAR IN BANGLADESH
During our first full year partnering with National Heart Foundation in Bangladesh, we strengthened ties through training visits and lifesaving interventions for children with CHD.
GLOBAL GATHERING & FOUNDERS AWARD
Supporters united globally at the Children’s HeartLink Global Gathering to raise funds to support our sustainable model to serve children like Safwan in Bangladesh. We honored Elizabeth Perlich Sweeney with the 2023 Founders Award for her outstanding contributions to our mission.
INNOVATION IN HEART CARE TRAINING
We embraced cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and hosted virtual training opportunities with global partners, all with significant contributions from volunteers and partners in pediatric heart care.
