Many of our supporters gathered on October 14, 2022, at the Children’s HeartLink Global Gathering to celebrate and raise funds to help transform pediatric heart care in underserved parts of the world.
Thank you to all those who joined us virtually and in person. Thank you for your generosity and for believing in the lifesaving work that is happening in Brazil, China, India, Malaysia and Vietnam. More children with heart disease are receiving the care they need because of Children’s HeartLink medical volunteers and the health care teams at partner hospitals.

Olympian Shaun White Shared His Heart Warrior Journey
“My life would be completely different had I not had access to heart care when I was diagnosed with my heart defect at birth. So many children today in underserved parts of the world don’t have access to the same level of care that I did. I’m honored to join Children’s HeartLink at the Global Gathering to bring greater awareness to the need for pediatric cardiac care to be available for all children born with a congenital heart disease,” said Shaun White, 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist and congenital heart disease survivor.
Serving Children with Congenital Heart Disease
A mother relives her experience of learning her daughter was born with a congenital heart disease. Shortly after birth, Janaina’s daughter, Lis, was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot and treated at the Children’s HeartLink Center of Excellence in Brazil, Hospital da Criança e Maternidade.
