Meet Stefano Perugini

We’re delighted to welcome Vice President of Development Stefano Perugini to the Children’s HeartLink team. Stefano has more than 20 years of experience working in international development, most recently as Head of Institutional Partnerships–Foundations Partnerships at UNICEF in London.

“We’re excited to have Stefano join Children’s HeartLink as we continue to expand our fundraising pipeline in new areas, geographic and otherwise,” says President Jackie Boucher. “He brings deep experience with international institutions, NGOs, the private sector and governments to this new position. We are growing as an organization, having increased our revenue from $2 million to $3 million in the past few years, and Stefano will play a critical role in leading our ongoing and future growth.”

Stefano Perugini’s Short Bio: Vice President of Development Stefano Perugini has more than 20 years of experience in leadership, partnership development, portfolio management, grantmaking and strategy development with international institutions, NGOs, the private sector and governments. Prior to joining Children’s HeartLink, he was Head of Institutional Partnerships – Foundations Partnerships at UNICEF in London. His previous assignments include Progressio and BRAC in London, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in South Sudan, the European Union Delegation to Eswatini (Swaziland), and the United Nations Development Program in Yemen, among others. Stefano was born in Venezuela and moved to Italy with his family when he was 5. He holds two master’s degrees, in development economics and international cooperation from the University of Tor Vergata and in economics of public administration and international relations from the University of Roma Tre, both in Rome.
