We’re happy to share the news that we have a new president. Her name is Jackie Boucher, and she will join Children’s HeartLink on November 4. Jackie has spent her entire career in health care, and she has a passion for improving the lives of individuals, families and communities.
“It is an incredible honor for me to lead and serve this inspiring organization with a long history of making a difference in the world,” says Jackie. “Many organizations aspire to make a difference, but few have all the right elements to succeed. Children’s HeartLink has a compelling mission and passionate staff, Board, volunteers, and donors who are committed to empowering other health professionals around the world to save the lives of children with heart disease. I’m excited to have the opportunity to play a role in this important work that makes the world a better place.”
Jackie comes to Children’s HeartLink after eight years at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF), where she last served as Chief Operating Officer. With a mission to improve the cardiovascular health of individuals and communities through innovative research and education, MHIF is the nonprofit partner of the Minneapolis Heart Institute, recognized as one of the premier cardiovascular institutions in the U.S. Earlier in her career Jackie was Director of Programs & Operations at HealthPartners, the largest consumer-governed, nonprofit health care organization in the nation.
“Jackie has grown every program she has led, which is a track record we found especially important in light of the strategic plan the Board of Directors adopted this past summer,” says Bob Rosenbaum, chair of the Board of Directors. “Children’s HeartLink is poised for growth, and we believe that Jackie is the right leader for this organization as we work to reach more children with heart disease around the world.”
Jackie has a B.S. in Dietetics from the College of St. Benedict and an M.S. in Nutrition from the University of Minnesota.
Welcome to Children’s HeartLink, Jackie!
