For children born in places with access to quality heart care, survival rates are high. But for many families around the world, that care is unavailable or unaffordable.

How does Children’s HeartLink help?
Since 1969, Children’s HeartLink has served more than 2 million children with congenital heart disease in underserved regions. We began by flying children to the United States for heart surgery, then sent medical missions and today we train pediatric cardiac teams in their own countries. We work alongside teams to improve access to quality pediatric heart care for children by:
- Strengthening hospitals and heart programs
- Training doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals
- Expanding access to screening, diagnosis and treatment
- Partnering with local medical teams to build sustainable pediatric heart care systems
