Latest Financials and Highlights
In 2024, Children’s HeartLink and our hospital partners reached 213,000 children with congenital heart disease. We launched the Africa Children’s Hearts Initiative to adapt our model for low-resources settings and welcomed our fifth hospital partner in Brazil, plus a new medical volunteer training team from the Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children’s. Throughout the year, Children’s HeartLink Centers of Excellence continued to lead, offering regional trainings and conferences.
Our work reached children and their heart care teams globally as we advocated for the needs of children with congenital heart disease at the World Health Assembly, helping shape a new maternal and child health resolution. We also began an innovative pilot program featuring extended reality training to equip more heart care teams virtually.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we continue to build sustainable, lifesaving programs that give more children with congenital heart disease a chance to survive and thrive.
2023 Financials and Highlights
In 2023, with the addition of Nhi Dong 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, seven hospitals have achieved the esteemed status of becoming a Children’s HeartLink Center of Excellence. We also spearheaded a historic global dialogue at the United Nations, advocating for children with congenital heart conditions, and urging the inclusion of surgical services for congenital anomalies at the 2030 Universal Health Coverage Agenda.
2022 Financials and Highlights
In 2022, Children’s HeartLink and its partner hospitals marked a milestone of reaching 126,000 children. We also entered our sixth country, Bangladesh, expanded partnerships in Brazil, and started to grow our presence in India. New medical volunteer teams from the U.S. and the U.K. were welcomed into our organization, while we also worked to drive the transformation of our nursing program.
